So, right after we secure a comfortable place to stay in Win Min Transient Inn, at the Agora Terminal, we’ve had our short rest. But, while we were in our room, I was posting on my Facebook about any recommendations on where to have a food trip in Cagayan De Oro City, or a dependable place to eat. At that time – we want to have a scrumptious food to eat as our reward, since we’ve had an amazing and successful adventure in Bukidnon. Then, after a few minutes, one of my Facebook friends recommended The Hive Food Park in CDO.
The name appears to be truly interesting, and I immediately search it online. True enough, after my quick research and reading a few reviews, I find The Hive Food Park an interesting place to have our dinner.
And so, I told my friends about it, and they concurred that we’ll have our dinner in The Hive Food Park. Later on, when our stomach started to beg for food, we resolved to open our google map, if it’s located close to where we stay. As luck would have it, we find it very close, and we decided to just walk. Then, after a few minutes of walking and wrong turned, we finally arrived at the hive food park.
The Hive Food Park in Cagayan De Oro City is where delectable food producers, creators, makers and food lovers come together to savor the abundance of Cagayan that it has to proffer. Truly, It’s a food park that is more than a mouthful, but it’s an experience! Perhaps, this is the biggest food market in Cagayan De Oro City, where you get to try out the best food in the City. And, you won’t just feast your eyes to the boatload of luscious food to choose from. But, tantalize your taste buds and really find a taste of Cagayan De Oro City by sampling some of the many specialist food items. And, if you’re just staying around the City, this is the perfect place if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. A place of not just about luscious food, but a dependable place to just chill while listening to a good music, since there are live bands performing.
The minute I entered into The Hive Food Park, I am instantly comparing it the Sugbo Mercado in Cebu. Only, it looks like this place is spacious and you can freely move around without bothering to get bumped into each other. Thus, I started ambling around to look for a food that suits my taste mood at that moment. And since, there was truly a lot of luscious food to choose from, I get confused on which food to try. Merely, after a few minutes of checking other food stalls, I found the Salarrito Shrimpips interesting. And so, I immediately order for Spicy Garlic Shrimps, which seems like it is perfectly prepared and cooked to perfection with all its secret ingredients – This comes with one cup of rice and around 8 pieces of medium size spicy garlic shrimps for only PHP 99.00 pesos.
And, only after a few minutes of ordering process, my order was ready for pick up at their stall, which I also choose to sit close to their stall. Then, two of my friends were still ordering their food, which is in another food stall, and it took them longer to wait before they have finally had their dinner. I was overly hungry at that time, and they asked me to eat first, since my food was still hot. I was glad when I heard them saying that I should eat first, and so I did. Truly, the spicy garlic shrimp I ordered was really luscious that have made me decide to add an extra rice. So, the moment I was about to finish my food, that’s also the time when my friends started to eat as well.
And while I was there seeing my friends enjoying their food, I was also enjoying listening to the live performance of the guest band at that moment. Perhaps, this is what makes The Hive Food Park stands to be romantic in its own way. And, who wouldn’t want to get serenaded by the soothing voice of the band vocalist while having your food? I suppose, we all love that feeling.
Anyway, after my dining experience in The Hive Food Park, I genuinely love it. And though, some food at the different food stall is expensive, but I nevertheless recommend this place for you just in case you visit Cagayan De Oro City soon.
